ERP modules explained
An ERP is made of modules, each covering a business function. You can usually start with the ones you need and add others later.
Common ERP modules
Vendors group them slightly differently, but these appear across SAP, Oracle, Odoo and Zoho material:
- Finance and accounting
- Human resources and payroll
- Sales, orders and CRM
- Procurement and supply chain
- Inventory and warehousing
- Manufacturing and projects
- Reporting and analytics
Why sharing data matters
Because modules share one database, an approved purchase updates inventory and finance together, and payroll uses the same employee records as HR.
Modules in Flowhive
Flowhive offers customers (CRM), workflow automation, sales and products, website and forms, payroll, and an Institute module, switched on per workspace.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need every ERP module?
